What seems as entertainment to one person or group may be considered cruel or work to another, but there’s a chance that the familiar forms of rite, party, non secular pageant, and satire may serve more than just an aesthetic or recreational purpose. They might be a means of achieving perception or highbrow growth. The word entertaintment is derived from the Latin intertenere, which in turn comes from the Indo-European root ten, meaning to stretch or hold.
