The company has also been developing space module technologies for two decades. Most recently, it gained attention for its role in NASA’s expandable habitat technology demonstration. The company’s BEAM or Bigelow Expandable Activity Module was designed to make life on the International Space Station easier and more comfortable for astronauts. The company also recently transferred ownership of its inflatable space module to the NASA Johnson Space Center. Eventually, this space module could be deployed on the International Space Station as early as 2024.
